Bays in the Strand on the Green parking zone are controlled twice on weekdays, 10am to noon and 6pm to 8pm, and for two hours on weekend afternoons. Cleaning Oven can time oven cleaning in Chiswick around hours like these, from £77 for a single.

Census counts for 2021 put 16,004 households in the three Chiswick wards. Flats housed 57.2% of them; blocks built as flats took 38.1%, and houses cut into flats 16.0%. Of the rest, 22.4% had a terraced house and 16.6% a semi. Owners were 50.4% of households and private tenants 33.5%. Chiswick is W4, in the London Borough of Hounslow, and each of its parking zones keeps its own hours.

Strand on the Green, by the bay and by the river path

This zone covers Geraldine Road, Hearne Road, Meade Close, Oliver Close, Pyrmont Road, Spring Grove, Waldeck Road, part of Thames Road and Strand on the Green itself. The council asked residents about the hours early in 2026 and kept them as they were. Outside the two weekday spells a bay there needs neither permit nor ticket, so a visit that starts after noon on a weekday usually runs through the uncontrolled gap. Along the river, Georgian houses stand beside later Victorian and Edwardian terraces, and the council’s appraisal notes that the riverside path floods at spring tides. Mention it on the call when your door is reached along that path: the cleaner is on foot from the car with the equipment, and the date can be set away from a high tide.

Short controls in Grove Park, long ones in Mid Chiswick

Grove Park’s zone was brought in during December 2013 to keep commuters’ cars out and extended in November 2016 and August 2019. It runs from 10am to noon on weekdays only, on streets including Chesterfield Road, Chatsworth Road, Lawford Road and parts of Staveley Road, Sutton Court Road and Burlington Lane. Mid Chiswick’s zone is the opposite case, controlled 9am to 7pm from Monday to Saturday. A double oven or a range cooker keeps the cleaner longer than a single, so on a Mid Chiswick street the visit may need a paid bay for most of its length. You pay what the bay cost, up to £40 at most. Give the full postcode when you book and the office checks which zone it falls in.

Bedford Park houses and Chiswick’s converted flats

Bedford Park was begun in 1875, and its houses were designed without basements, so the kitchen sits above ground with no area steps to carry the equipment down. In a house like that, or in one of the three-storey terraces along Chiswick High Road, the cooker may be freestanding or a range. Measure its width: at 90 cm, two ovens side by side make a complete range at £143, while one large cavity of that width is a single wide oven at £114. The oven types guide shows the difference. If the flat is one floor of a converted house, add the flat number to the address and clear the hob top so the pan supports can come off.

Questions about oven cleaning in Chiswick

Can the cleaner reach a house on Chiswick Mall when the road floods?

Usually, but the road along Chiswick Mall floods from time to time, and the council accepts that rather than spoil the riverside setting. If a high tide falls on the agreed day, ring the office at least 48 hours before and the date moves with the deposit.

Is a permit needed for the cleaner’s car in Grove Park?

Not outside 10am to noon on weekdays, when the zone is uncontrolled. For a visit that overlaps those two hours, the office sorts out the parking with you when you ring.

Should I suspend the parking bay outside my W4 house for the visit?

It would cost more than the parking it replaces. Hounslow charges a fee for the first day of a suspension outside a home and an admin fee on top, together more than £40, the most the cleaner’s parking can add to your bill, even with the hob and the extractor hood on the same visit. The parking is talked through on the call.
