Some new-build homes in Hounslow can get no parking permit, because a planning condition or a legal agreement rules it out. Oven cleaning there goes ahead all the same: Cleaning Oven adds the cleaner’s paid parking at cost to £77 for a single.

Hounslow’s homes split close to the middle. Of 102,961 households in 2021, 45.8% had a flat, and semis and terraces made up nearly all the others; 30.9% rented privately. Brentford is two-thirds flats, and Chiswick and Isleworth more than half. Hounslow West is mostly two-storey houses put up between the wars and in the years just after, and Feltham grew in the late 1930s and after 1945. Whether the address is TW8, TW7 or TW13, the form gives the price for your postcode before you commit to anything.

Checking for a permit bar in Brentford’s newer blocks

Hounslow Council says that some homes inside its controlled zones, usually new builds, cannot get parking permits at all, because the planning permission or a legal agreement says so. Check this if you live in Brentford, where 59.8% of households were in purpose-built flats in 2021 and the Brentford Lock West scheme by the canal has added flats and townhouses. Where no permit can be had, a paid bay nearby is the answer, and what it costs is passed on to you to a limit of £40. A flat in a newer block usually has a built-in oven set into the units, single or double, so count the doors: one is £77, two make a double oven at £110. Add the floor number and any lift to the booking notes, and say if the building has a concierge desk that needs to know a visitor is coming.

Suburban houses in Hounslow West and Feltham

Owners in these streets can have the cooker, hob and hood done in one booking. The council’s own appraisal of Hounslow West describes rows of two-storey houses, and Feltham’s households were a third semi-detached (32.5%) in 2021. For a gas hob, pan supports and burner caps join the soaking parts, and the top is cleaned by hand. Gas hobs are £28 and glass ones (ceramic or induction) £23, though either booked alone comes to £67, the smallest charge. Over the cooker, the metal grease filters of the hood soak too; a carbon filter stays in place, as most are made to be thrown away and replaced. All three around a single oven cost £117. The hob and extractor pages give the detail.

Lets around Hounslow Central and Osterley

In the wards around Hounslow town 39.7% of households rented privately in 2021, and in Osterley and Spring Grove, a ward of semis, the share was 35.1%. A tenant moving out can book the oven for the last days of the tenancy, and a landlord can book it for the gap before the next one. Since 11 December 2025 Hounslow’s additional HMO licensing has covered the whole borough, for homes shared by three or more people from two or more households; their landlords book the oven between occupants in the same way. Burnt-on carbon usually lifts; etching in the enamel, scratched glass and rust do not, so check those before the check-out. The move-out oven page covers timing.

Questions about oven cleaning in Hounslow

What do I measure on the cooker in a St Stephen’s Road house?

Its width across the front, and then count the oven doors. Up to 60 cm, one door is a single at £77 and two doors a double at £110; at 90 cm, two doors side by side make a range, £143. St Stephen’s Road was laid out in 1880 with mostly late Victorian detached and semi-detached houses, where a kitchen may be wide enough for a range.

How does the equipment get up to a flat in one of Brentford’s 25-storey towers?

It comes up with the cleaner, who carries the equipment and products to the flat and does the whole clean in your kitchen, soaking the parts there too, so nothing needs a second trip down. Give the floor and flat number when you book. After 1945 Brentford gained six residential towers, each of 25 storeys, according to the council’s St Paul’s Brentford appraisal.

How does the cleaner pay for parking in Hounslow?

By whatever the bay takes, often a phone. Just over 4,800 of Hounslow’s parking spaces can be paid for cashless through PayByPhone, and whatever the cleaner spends on parking is added to your bill at the amount charged, never more than £40.
