Anyone living along it gets the cleaner on foot from a nearby street, equipment in hand, so tell the office whether your street door is on the High Street or round the back, and how many flights up the kitchen is.

New blocks on the Agar Grove Estate

The council is rebuilding Agar Grove, 496 homes in all. By December 2024, 220 were finished, including a third phase of 69 council homes and 56 private ones, and one of the architects calls the result a pedestrian priority neighbourhood. The cleaner may therefore have to leave the car some way off; the block name and the nearest entrance save time. A new flat usually has a built-in oven under the worktop or at eye level.
